Our Tutors

 

All our tutors can teach you in their own homes.  Blue tutors also provide an online service.  Green tutors are WWOOF Hosts.  Purple tutors are WWOOF Hosts who also provide an online service.

 

Subject to their availability, you can choose your own tutor.  And you can hop from one tutor to another if you are travelling.

Australia

Ann Howard MA, MSc, WWOOF Host NF117, is a novelist with 20 years' experience teaching English in schools and universities. Ann has published 18 books, a radio play and poetry. She and her partner Robert, a former opera singer, and a small dog, share a heritage house on Dangar Island in the Hawkesbury River estuary near Sydney.   She loves her garden and enjoys hosting WWOOFers.

 

Beata Kaczmarek MA is from Poland and has 8 years experience teaching English in Melbourne, Australia.

Jai Greenaway MA, WWOOF Host  NF102, has been a Specialist Teacher of Drama,  Entertainment and English for 43 years, teaching from Kindergarten to University.. and shows no signs of quitting.   She lives in the World Heritage National Park of the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia.  Jai has a passion for learning as much from young people as they learn from her. "It keeps me young!" she says.

Margaret Griffiths BA, WWOOF Host NEO72, has been an English teacher for over forty years, including as Early Education Advisor with the Department of Community Services and a TAFE  Head Teacher of Early Childhood.  She has travelled widely through Europe and Asia and is fond of learning about other cultures and sharing the beautiful country of Australia with young people.


Memory Sanders has been teaching ESL to higher school certificate level for over 20 years

 

Ronald Waterhouse BSc, WWOOF Host WP121, is a retired engineer, the owner of Briery Estate Wines and a trainee tutor.  Lessons with Ron are supervised by one of our experienced tutors.

Mexico

 

Kate Hooper BA,  has taught English in Australia, Spain and Mexico for 12 years to both children and adults.  She and her fiancé enjoy reading, swimming, travelling and scuba diving.
